About the iPhone 13

Apple released the iPhone 13 lineup in fall 2021, all with the A15 Bionic chip. The 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max added ProMotion 120Hz displays and a telephoto camera.

The 13 mini is the last 5.4-inch iPhone. Pro models go up to 1TB of storage.

Identify it

How to tell which iPhone 13 you have

  1. Settings > General > About shows the Model Name, storage and IMEI.
  2. Tap Model Number in that screen to switch to the A-number (for example A2849).
  3. "Carrier Lock: No SIM restrictions" in Settings > General > About means it's unlocked.

iPhone 13 trade-in value: what affects your offer?

Price follows current resale demand, then your answers adjust it.

Model

Pro Max earns the most, then Pro, 13 and 13 mini.

Storage

More storage raises the offer.

Carrier

Unlocked phones earn the most.

Battery

Most iPhone 13s now need a battery check. Normal health helps.

Face ID

Face ID failures are a large deduction.

Your exact estimate depends on all of these together.

Check my estimated value

Is my iPhone 13 eligible?

It needs to power on, have a working touchscreen, be signed out of its Apple Account with Find My off, have a clean IMEI with no carrier balance, and be legally yours.

Scratches, cracked glass, worn batteries and repaired parts can still qualify at a lower offer. Non-working, locked, blacklisted, financed, liquid-damaged or swollen-battery iPhones can't get an instant quote. Full eligibility rules.

Accessories that affect your offer

  • Original box

Before you sell

  • Check Battery Health in Settings > Battery.
  • Unpair your Apple Watch, then sign out of your Apple Account.
  • Remove your SIM card or eSIM, then erase all content and settings.

How we grade your iPhone 13's condition

Choose the grade that matches the outside of your iPhone 13. Working problems are asked separately, so you're never marked down twice for the same thing.

Like New

No scratches or scuffs on the screen, back or frame.

Good

Light scratches you only notice up close. No cracks or dents.

Fair

Visible scratches or scuffs, or small dents on the frame.

Poor

Deep scratches, heavy scuffs or dents. Still fully working.

Damaged

Bent frame or heavy dents. Still powers on and works.

Not eligible

Won't power on, no usable picture, locked, liquid damaged. These can't get an instant quote.

Selling your iPhone 13: FAQs

How much is an iPhone 13 worth?

It depends on the model, storage, carrier lock, condition and battery. Use the quote tool for an estimate.

Do you buy the iPhone 13 mini?

Yes. It earns less than the larger models but is still in demand.

Is the 13 Pro worth much more than the 13?

Yes, it earns noticeably more.

Do you buy iPhone 13s with a replaced screen?

Yes. Genuine Apple repairs don't reduce the offer; an "Unknown Part" screen does.
