Apple launched the 24-inch iMac with M1 in 2021, the first iMac with Apple silicon. It came in seven colors with a 4.5K Retina display and an external power adapter.
The 7-core GPU model has two Thunderbolt / USB 4 ports. The 8-core GPU model adds two USB 3 ports and, often, Ethernet on the power adapter. Memory is 8GB or 16GB.

- Apple menu > About This Mac shows "Apple M1" and 2021.
- Two USB-C ports means the 7-core GPU model. Four ports means the 8-core GPU model.
- In System Information, the Model Identifier is iMac21,1 or iMac21,2.
